CERTIFICATIONS & TRAINING

CERTIFICATION: AGSC Master Auto Glass Technician

The Auto Glass Safety Council’s Master Auto Glass Technician applies to those who have passed the AGSC master technician certification test and who work for an AGSC Registered Member Company.

To obtain this certification, a technician must have experience and knowledge in OSHA required employee safety regulations, conducting installations according to the current AGRSS Standard, intermediate level automotive electrical testing and troubleshooting procedures and equipment, OEM sunroof repair and replacement techniques, advanced wind noise and water leak diagnosis and repair, current standards and regulations that apply to the auto glass industry, custom cutting and finishing of automotive laminated glass, and an understanding of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

This certification also requires the technician to have 3 or more years in the auto glass industry, an AGSC certified Auto Glass Technician and employment with an AGSC Registered Member Company.

CERTIFICATION: NWRD Certified Repair Technician

This certification program is administered by the National Windshield Repair Division (NWRD) – a division of the AGSC and the only entity in North America dedicated solely to the needs and promotion of windshield repair. The NWRD’s certification program promotes and educates compliance to the ANSI standard, the only standard developed by the Industry.

The NWRD Certified Repair Technician applies to those who have passed the NWRD Repair Technician test and who work for an AGSC Registered Member Company or its NWRD repair-only division.

This certification represents the understanding of the steps necessary for a company and its individuals to be in compliance with ANSI/NWRA/ROLAGS 001-2014, the Repair of Laminated Auto Glass Standard (ROLAGS™).

CERTIFICATION: Delta Kits Windshield Repair Technician

The Delta Kits Certified Technician symbol is internationally trusted, respected, and recognized for the premier training that it represents. Delta Kits has been an industry leader for more than 30 years and certifies windshield repair technicians in all areas of automotive glass repair. Delta Kits is a member in good standing with the National Windshield Repair Association.

The Delta Kits windshield repair certification program consists of both knowledge-based and hands-on training with technicians who have a combined 70+ years of experience in the automotive glass industry.

Certificates are only awarded to technicians who demonstrate proficiency in repairing windshields and pass a ROLAGS™ — Repair of Laminated Automotive Glass Standards — based written exam with a score of 83% or higher.

CERTIFICATION: Opti-Aim Certified Technician Course Completion

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) in vehicles is becoming increasingly prevalent in newer vehicles today. These systems rely upon cameras, lasers and radar – often with components mounted or attached to the windshield.

Any time a windshield is installed, the camera must be calibrated to ensure proper functionality and restore it to OEM specifications.

Opti-Aim™ from Pilkington is the industry’s first calibration tool for managing complex installations that demand precise, camera-ready accuracy for all makes and models. This certification of completion is given to technicians who have successfully completed the Opti-Aim™ Technician certification program on recommended procedures for glass calibration using the Opti-Aim™ solution.
